realtors Being able to include paid ads from local contractors in your eNewsletters is clearly one of the most popular features of APPLICA's Marketing Automation Dashboard, that was developed exclusively for MIC members.  But another nice feature of the Dashboard is that it allows you to add attachments to your eNewsletters, and this article describes some of the benefits and best practices for using eNewsletter attachments.

BENEFITS

Adding attachments to your eNewsletter is a great way to showcase and promote your business to different audiences.  Plus it can be a very nice way to provide additional information to your clients and agents without cluttering up the body of your eNewsletter. And being a separate attachment, it makes it easy for clients and agents to print the file, if needed.

ATTACHMENT FEATURES

Your Dashboard allows you four places to add attachments to your eNewsletters:

1. your announcement eNewsletter that goes to agents (this is the first eNewsletter the agent will receive);
2. your monthly eNewsletter that goes to agents (which can be added or changed for any month);
3. your announcement eNewsletter that goes to clients (this is the first eNewsletter the client will receive);
4. your monthly eNewsletter that goes to clients (which can be added or changed for any month).

The attachments can be in any file format (PDF, Word, jpg, etc.) and can be any size.

And you can customize the text that is displayed on the hyperlink that the client or agent would click to open the attachment.  The default text is just 'see attachment.'

BEST PRACTICES

Here are some examples of best practices that we have seen over the years:

As an attachment to the announcement eNewsletter for agents, adding a company brochure that describes your unique selling proposition is a great way to showcase your business.

For monthly eNewsletters for agents, adding a flyer for a community event that you are sponsoring is a nice way of showing your commitment to the local community that you share with your agents.

If you are doing mold, radon, or other specialty services, adding a discount coupon as an attachment for either your client announcement or monthly eNewsletters can be a nice way to promote these services.

And an attachment promoting the benefits to clients for doing a routine home inspection can help stimulate demand for inspection services on an on-going basis.
